Dan is super passionate about building and is excited to bring Green Homes to the beautiful West Coast of the South Island. He has been in the building industry for twenty years, with vast experience gained throughout the region via working for a multitude of different companies.

Nailing better building standards in the area
Innovation initially attracted Dan to Green Homes, noting that the construction of homes on the West Coast hadn’t seemed to have progressed much in some time considering it’s damp environment.
“When I researched Green Homes there were many things that appealed to me. I have seen a lot of wastage in the industry and have built many homes for people that weren’t really what they wanted – simply because it was easier for the salesperson to convince them that they should purchase a pre-designed home to save on costs. While Green Homes can offer well insulated, energy-efficient and stylish pre-designs, we also want to design and build homes that are landmarks, more sustainable and much healthier for homeowners. Our homes will stand the test of time so they are enjoyed for generations to come”.
Building more efficiently to meet build times
Green Homes West Coast build a little differently. Their talented team can carry out almost any aspect of the construction process, this reduces the chance of any delays so homes can be delivered on time and on target as promised. Dan’s a carpenter by trade but truth be told he’s also an all-rounder! He’s also skilled as a concrete placer, framer, roofer, joiner and a Gib Fixer Stopper. He has also done his fair share of painting, and is a dab hand at tiling. While not qualified in plumbing and electrical, he’s very adept at helping to oversee progress of these areas during the build. With every area covered off, Dan enjoys building to deadlines knowing that he can step up when required.
